About Attorney Michael A. Weber

Michael A. Weber provides quality, cost-effective, and personable representation to individuals and businesses throughout Minnesota. Focusing his efforts in the areas of bankruptcy, business, and litigation, Michael has helped hundreds of clients achieve their legal goals.

Experience
Michael founded Weber Law Group, P.A. in November 2008. Prior to founding the firm, Michael worked at Ravich Meyer Kirkman McGrath Nauman & Tansey, P.A. for several years, where he focused on chapter 11 bankruptcies, commercial transactions and litigation, employment law, and real estate transactions.

During the course of his career, Michael has:

  • Helped hundreds of individuals file for bankruptcy protection and obtain a discharge of their debts;
  • Represented numerous businesses and individuals in chapter 11 bankruptcies;
  • Represented parties in adversary proceedings;
  • Represented clients in all stages of litigation (both bench trials and trial by jury), and has aided clients in appellate matters; and
  • Advised businesses on a multitude of transactional matters, including business formation, contract drafting, and mergers & acquisitions.

Education
Michael graduated with honors from William Mitchell College of Law (WMCL) with a focus on Business Law, Real Estate law, and Creditor/Debtor law. WMCL is highly regarded for its legal theory, practical learning, and highly ranked skills programs. At WMCL, Michael had the opportunity to take numerous trial skills and negotiation courses. He finished at the top of his class in:

  • Corporations
  • Insurance, and
  • Real Estate Transactions.

Prior to law school, Michael earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business from the Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota). His focus was on General Management--Entrepreneurial Studies, with an eye towards law school the entire time. Michael is familiar with accounting, finance, tax, economics, and risk management concepts and can quickly learn the ins and outs of clients' businesses.

Community Involvement
Michael strongly believes that community service and involvement are vital for our nation and for the legal profession. Michael's community involvement includes volunteering as a wrestling coach at Spring Lake Park-St. Anthony High Schools for three years, working with high school and junior high students for faith-based education, and volunteering or being a member of various political campaigns and organizations.

Other Interests
Mr. Weber is recognized as a forthcoming leader in legal innovation and technology. He remains committed to making Weber Law Group one of the most efficient and technologically advanced law firms in the region. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Weber also manages Tech For Lawyers, LLC, a small software and technology consulting company that focuses on efficiency and improving client satisfaction through the use of better technology and business systems.

Michael is admitted to practice in Minnesota State and Federal Courts.
